Scaler 3 keeps crashing Fender Studio One

What happens is I make a song in FSO, Scaler 3 is on a track. Then when I go to open that song later, it crashes and says that it failed to open and gives the reason, “Created Device: Scaler 3”

I have rescanned plug ins, no help

It either crashes with that message or freezes when I try to open my song

Any thoughts

I’m also using the new Studio Pro, but I haven’t experienced any Scaler related crashes. Most of my Studio Pro crashes have been related to Baby Audio plugins. Have you tried reinstalling scaler or studio pro? I use the midi out feature and put the plugins on instrument tracks in the daw. Are you using the plugins inside that one instance of scaler? That may be an issue to explore. It has been running really smooth using the midi output from scaler to midi input in studio pro and my machine is so old i couldnt upgrade to Win 11. This distributes the cpu load to multiple cores better i have read, but not specifically for scaler. If you do this, note that you have to mute the tracks within the scaler mixer and enable monitoring in studio pro on those instrument tracks.

The next update should resolve the issue of the crashing in FSP. I use the same and did some testing on a beta version the had provided and the problem went away. So, the next version should correct it. I think I heard the next up date will be released very soon.

It sounds like the same issue I had with Scaler 3 and many of the versions of Studio One 7.

I got the same error “Created Device: Scaler 3“ when Scaler 3 would crash studio one 7. I tried using the latest Scaler 3 version and the crash was still there.

Hopefully if Whatamint is correct, the next version of Scaler 3 will fix this issue as I haven’t been able to use Scaler 3 as a plugin for quite a long time.
