Scaler 3.3.0.0 Access Violation (c0000005) on Unload in FL Studio 2026

I encountered a sudden hard crash (silent exit) in FL Studio 2026 shortly after replacing an instance of Scaler 3 on the Channel Rack with another plugin (FLEX in this case). FL Studio closed instantly without generating its own crash log, but the Windows Event Viewer captured an Access Violation (0xc0000005) specifically tied to the unloading state of the VST3 module.

Hi @dshidoesit, thanks for taking the time to report this. We’ve shared the info you provided with our development team, who are investigating the issue. We’re continuing to improve stability in Scaler 3.3 and are hoping to address this issue in an update in the near future. Cheers.

Just wanted to make a note that this is still an issue if you guys attempted to address it in the new update and it happens far after I remove an instance of Scaler 3 (in this case after I am done getting the midi information I need to copy over to something else). I just got a crash nearly an hour or more into a project I was working on.

Hi @dshidoesit, thanks for the follow-up, and sorry to hear you lost precious work.

We made a number of stability improvements in 3.3.1, so it would be helpful for us to get a crash log to determine whether this issue is related.

If you still have the crash log available, could you please send it through? I appreciate it may no longer be available after a couple of weeks, but anything you can provide would be helpful. Cheers.

For whatever reason it doesn’t create a crash log. jsljustin is having a similar problem over here in the Fender Studio 8.1.1 thread (lack of crash log being made and all):Fender Studio 8.1.1 - Scaler 3 - Scaler 3 Support - Scaler Music - Community Forum

Appreciate you looking into this.
