Just did a update to version 2.9.1 to get rid of the cpu/audio spikes. But it did not have good result. The audio spikes are still there. You also can see high cpu loads form Scaler on the cpu meter, in sync with the audio spikes.

Hi @Exquse this is surprising to hear. Reports indicate that the Scaler 2.9.1 update solved most people’s CPU issues. Make sure to reboot your machine after updating if you haven’t.
We’re running Ableton Live 12.1 on a Windows 11 PC here and have no CPU spike issues. Are you seeing this with an empty Live Set with just one instance of Scaler 2? Or is it only during heavier CPU usage? You also say these spikes are in sync with your audio spikes. It would be interesting to see a video of this if you are able to post one somewhere for us to look at.
Thank you for your response. I just tried it again, but the audio glitches are still there. A reboot didn’t solve the issue. I also made a short video. It seems even worse than last time. In the video, you can see that the glitches occur with synths that are not being controlled by Scaler. I’m using just one instance of Scaler in my setup, and I’ve also shown the load on my system in the video—I’m running 5 to 6 VST synths, along with some effects and drum machines. This is my regular setup, and I’ve never experienced this issue with Scaler before. I just filmed it with my phone, I’m not very good at this sort of thing, but I hope it’s clear.
Thanks
P.S. The sound is not really good but you here a lot of glitches when scaller is turend on
Edit:
Hi Tristan,
I did some more testing to better understand what was going on and to make a better video. Soon after, the problem “disappeared” and everything is running fine now. I shut down my setup once more (without a reboot) and restarted it, and everything remained stable. So, I would say the issue is resolved. If it comes up again, I’ll let you know.
Hi,
I am a new scaler 2 user and having the same audio glitch problems the guy reported fixed. pls help fix as I have tried all I could except uninstalling and reinstalling.
thanx.
Hi @kingsleychim Welcome to the community, please ensure you have the latest Scaler 2.9.1 installed. If you have please reinstall and restart your machine.
i have still the same problem, with Scaler 3 and the latest update. I use an i7 notebook with 64 GB Ram and a 1 TB SSD, together with UAD Apollo USB interface. CPU Peaks every 10-20 minutes up to 215%. Everything freezes and produces massive audio dropouts. Even when i use just 1 Scaler instance - and it doesn´t play a single midinote. It´s just opend on an midi or audiotrack and plays nothing.
