Perform Mode "Retrigger" not working properly?

I’m having trouble with the arpeggio retriggering behaving incoherently, sometimes restarting the arpeggio pattern at the start of a new chord and sometimes not.

For example in the provided screenshot I have just added the up/down arpeggio while having Perform Mode “Retrigger” chosen in Settings. According to the manual Retrigger means “Melodic and phrase content restarts from the beginning when switching chords”. However, as you can see in the screenshot the arpeggio patterns do not start over for each new chord change but instead just keeps going from where they were from the previous chord, which is the behavior I would rather expect from the “Follow” Perform Mode. Is there something wrong, or am I misunderstanding how Perform Mode works?

Hi @Atombender And welcome to the forum. Manual is referring to Melodic and Phrase content and specifically Phrases and Performances. In your screenshot you would need to cut the child clips for the Arp to retrigger in which you could apply different Arps / settings to each chord/clip. Use the scissor tool to cut. Hope that helps.

Hi @davide. It was not clear to me that the perform mode setting only affects a specific subset of the motions. Then I understand why the arpeggios were not retriggering. Thank you!
