It will be quite “unusual” anyway
I don’t think the “genre” is so much used, if any, here

As I listen PF since Meddle which is about 50 years and as DG is is one of my two biggest influences, I believe that I am not able to compose/play something that is not Floydish ![]()
That’s okay…I find early punk underrepresented here anyway, LOL
Just judging by your Scaler forum profile image I would have never guessed @Miki ![]()
Thanks.
In the song I use:
Knifonium (preset Next to you, with arpeggiator in low 1/4 octaves)
Electric Piano 1 from Goliath (by Opus Eastwest)
Cinematic PAds (Spitfire Audio)
And a preset that I have made in Opus Orchestrator, which contains Oboe and Bassoon
The chord progression is Lonely Girl 2, from the Artists list, CeCe Rogers. The only thing I changed was the duration of the chords (x2)
Yes, I know it is quite difficult to guess my musical taste.
I think that @Bernd must have the record for most numbers of replies to a post.
BTW, there is a Floyd tribute band here that is really highly respected
All the young dudes, as myself
I know The Australian PF, which are also highly respected , even by Mr. Gilmour himself.
I know another Floyd tribute band, where my old friend & saxophonist Roberto Delpiano play sax, sometimes
So here it is my first 2022 composition with the Garritan World Instruments and following @Bernd advice about the capability of Scaler to drive drums
I used just one Scaler instance, feeding with various patterns and recording each instrument one after the other
The percussive instruments used are a classic e.g in the Senegalese music I danced a lot: kora, dondo and balafon, with the addition of latin percussions (to have a sort of African shacker that lacks in the Garritan set)
I added then a kaval flute solo played with Scaler green keys
You can find some info about the Garritan World instruments reading the manual
ha ha you’ll have to wait more time for that ![]()
nice idea indeed
Love the guitar riff
I love the Antarctic tunes in the fourth third!
Thank you. Today, my workflow is almost always the first time I open the Scaler program and then the Piano Colors program I just bought. Then I design some kind of base and chords. Then, when I have finished a part, I only take the guitar or bass in my hand and start to develop a melody or other fun. But most of all, the Scaler program has a big creative impact these days. Hard to imagine being without. Finding such great chord movements that wouldn’t normally even come to mind without Scaler. Then when you combine a program like Piano Colors, for example, the sky ruptures.
