Many thanks friends. I have always seen this site as a great place to share experiences and get help.
Lately I have little time; and when I have time, I unfortunately waste it. As an example, I’m passing what I just wrote to Reason Studios right now:
"Mission Impossible:
I’ve been trying to install Reason + all day (from 8am until now, 9:57pm).
More than a good offer, for me it has been a punishment
Also, asking a robot that answers anything, except for what I ask.
Their software is fantastic, but their customer support is lousy.
Fortunately, I have only spent €1, with which I have learned again that I will not be interested in spending more money with you"
They gave me an offer to use Reason+ for 3 months paying €1/month. He couldn’t refuse that offer, of course. So this morning I paid my €1 and got ready to download the program. I’ve wasted all day trying everything (right now my computer has no antivirus, no firewall, no nothing. And I haven’t been able to download anything profitable. It always says the file is corrupt and it can’t be installed.
If someone received the same offer and has Windows 10, BEWARE!
With any DAW I could have made some music today, but I wasted the whole day downloading something that didn’t work for me and arguing with a robot that always answers anything, except what you ask
Well… there is no reason to use Reason then
Very good play on words
It’s true: there is no reason to use Reason
The truth is that having Reason 11 Intro, Live Suite 10, and an incredibly cheap Reaper (you already know what I’m talking about; thanks, friend) I don’t need that UNREASON at all
Tomorrow (today I am very angry) I will try to do something positive; ie MUSIC
I did the same offer back in November. Downloaded and installed without a problem but I’m on Mac. Reason Suite is good and I have always loved it but stopped upgrading a v4. After 3 months at $1 each and 1 month a full subscription I found I just don’t need the full suite. I have the Reason Rack I got for free and with everything else I have, that’s enough.
Sorry you had that problem. I haven’t read anything to have me believe Windows 10 is a problem for Reason but since there is no human on the other end, no way to find out.
What a great collaboration! Great job both of you.
Loved that piece, Bernd. Bravo !
And I am a HUGE Metheny fan, interviewed him two or three times, seen him perform 8 or nine times…as recently as last October. While I busy myself with composing keyboard based music (and I am NO keyboard player), I am by practice and at heart a guitar player, and Metheny has always been a huge inspiration for me.
Wow … that must have been fascinating
I’m sure you must have seen the 1 h 46m interview with Rick Beato, which I found interesting
Actually, what made that piece so, was @carlosbiab’s contribution. I just provided the backing chords, with most of the work done by Scaler.
I did, and referenced it a few times in our interview.
This reminds me of when i was in Mexico city. New mysterious world.
Very nice tune. Tranquil.
That’s really crazy! Good job!
I just happened to noodle around with Scaler + a couple of Waves Synths and Logic Pro X drummer and ended up with this
OK, here I am with a kind of electronicoguitaristicohardwaristicosynthic song. I was testing Heavyocity Scoring Guitars 1 & 2 that I bought half-priced a few days ago and the sound and loops inspired me, so I added my two hardware synths (Volca Keys + Volca FM); synths have been driven by, of course, Scaler. I don’t use my small synths often, but this time I found them a role they were good in.
too bad Soundcloud doesnt let one “like” private tracks
Very Pink Floyd-like. If the guitar was processed different it would have gone closer to that Gilmour sound.
I like those guitars, Miki. Congratulations
I also made a new song from the Scaler chords, which I sent to Chordpotion and combined with Cinematic Pads (Spitfire), Opus Orchestrator, Goliath E. Piano and Knifonium.
I hope you like it

Well, these are not the real guitars. It was my test with Scoring Guitars by Heavyocity, a purely virtual instrument with its phrases, sounds, etc. As I was testing, I just added chords in Scaler that matched the ones by Scoring Guitars and added my Volcas to play with that. I was myself surprised with the final result.
Very nice song José. Relaxing , beautiful. What synths did you use?
Well, it seems I am the only scalerian lacking a contribution here
OK
tonight I’ll post my first new Scaler production of 2022
Go on, my friend. We are waiting ready to press Play.
