Can someone please confirm that the multi channel out works as in S2, as in separate midi channel for each note of chord?
Hi Ben, no it was replaced by Multiple Channel MIDI out. If we have enough demand we can reintroduce it at some stage. It’s still on our roadmap
Ouch, I uninstalled Scaler 2 too soon! I liked it so much…
That’s a shame. That was the feature I use most, for generative stuff.
It such an important feature as i used it for my orchestral music to send each voice of the chord to a different instrument. So i have to keep scaler 2, even if i create chord progressions in scaler 3 i will even eventually have to send it back to scaler 2 to use this feature. Please bring it back…
Hi !
If I understand correctly, it is not possible to split the tracks (DIVISI) into several tracks (kontakt)? Apart from opening the Kontakt instances directly within Scaler!?
You would not be able to split the individual notes of the the chord to different midi channels. This feature is pretty standard elsewhere.
Is it possible that multi-voice output has been removed in this “upgrade”? It is THE key feature for my workflow. I would love to be somehow missing it, but it seems that the multi-track (expressions, etc.) can be assigned to different midi-channels but there is no option to break up the original chord into its constituent notes for output.
I did see in the manual that under menu> preferences it says “Preferences – Adjusts interface behavior, MIDI input/output settings, and additional customization options” but currently under preferences not all those options are there, particularly “MIDI input/output settings”
Workarounds I am missing? Or a hidden menu/option I missed?
This is an important and unique feature that hopefully will be re-implemented in Scaler 3.
