Motions previews should follow Main Track chords

When previewing Motions, the key of the preview defaults to C. Could Scaler 3 either…

  • Preview from Main Track chords by default
  • Offer a switch in Preferences or the Motions dialog to activate this

This would provide a more accurate context for choosing motions.

Totally agree, c major motions preview is offputting when adding additional tracks, like bass for example, it’s impossible to evaluate whether it fits with the main track

Agreed and added to our roadmap. I think it might be hard to lock to the chords for a few reasons but it could always play the ‘I’ of the selected Scale. We will have a think.

If the speed of the preview is synced with the main track, would be very helpful already.
