Monitoring the original audio

Hi,

is it possible to listen to the original audio after importing an audio file?

It would be nice to compare the internal sound with the original chords.

In addition: some detected chords are greyed out, because they donˋt fit really.

How can i substitute the wrong chord? Right click only lets you delete the chord, but then one chord is missing in the sequence.

Sorry, I am only making the first steps with Detector, I use Scaler from version 1 on.

Hi @K.G.25 Welcome to the community, sounds like (depending on which DAW) you need to turn in Input Monitoring to hear the original audio. That’s if you are using Scaler Detector (Audio) plugin and detecting audio on your track or on a live input.

Hi Davide.
thank you for your quick response. I am honoured to get in contact with you as the developer himself.
Of course I read the manual before I went any further.
I tried to use Scaler Detector as a plugin in Ableton Live and Cubase 15 and it worked as an effect plugin. Great work.
In standalone mode you can`t listen to the original audio, right?

What about my second question? I get some greyed out chords that don`t seem to fit into the progression. I only can delete these without being able to substitute them with other chords. But then the sequence gets out of synchronization compared to the original.
But maybe we have to wait for the planned connection to Scaler 3.

I appreciate your commitment very much and I hope that your work leads to a lot of people using your software.

Best regards,
K.G.

Hi @K.G.25 Standalone really depends on your systems audio routing. I use Loopback on a Mac for flexibility. Chords can only be deleted in Section A. Scaler 3 may give you the full functionality you are after. Best.
