"Keys Lock: Scale White Keys" when using a scale other than Major

For someone who is a piano or keyboard player I find it strange when I’m in a key other than a Major key(let’s say a Minor key) and I get a major second sound when going between two white keys that are next to each other that don’t have a black key in between or getting a minor 2nd sound when going between two white keys that have a black key in between.

It would be nice that if when using Keys Lock: Scale White Keys and in a Minor key the scale started on A instead of C. That way the spacing of the keys and the sound you’re hearing match up.

Hi @1orenxo Welcome to the forum. Try the ‘True Scale’ mode in Settings under BIND - that will do exactly what you want!

Hello Davide, I think the true scale mode is for playing chords. What I want to use Keys Lock: Scale White Keys for is playing melodies in a Minor Scale so I don’t have to use the black keys. But since in Scale White Keys the scale always starts on C even if it’s a minor key then the spacing of the keys doesn’t match up. That’s why I suggested that if you’re in Keys Lock: Scale White Keys and the key of the song is for example E minor have the white keys start on A instead of C so the spacing of the white keys match up to that of a Minor Scale. Hope this makes sense

Apologies @1orenxo Sorry I get you now. I think the whole point of white keys is that you can just use the same notes and the intervals are taken care of for you. Really it suits people not familiar with the various scales. I like it when for example I want to write in a scale I am not familiar with or want to change scales whilst keeping my melody function the same. That would all be mitigated for the action of keeping intervals true which is what you are suggesting.

Ok got it, Thanks Davide
