Hi, I’m trying to find out if I can set up following with Scaler. I have 3 audio tracks of which 2 percussion and 1 piano loaded into Ableton. I have a fourth track which is midi and armed with a Kontakt 7 instrument (Hammond organ). I want to detect the scale in the audio piano track and improvise on the midi track by key locking the detected scale, jamming along with the 3 audio tracks. If possible also would like to record the midi improvisation to play back later and edit.
Hi @patvanpot and welcome to the forum. All of this is possible in a few different ways and there are things to consider like MIDI being more accurate to detect from than Audio.
From what you are saying you want to jam along with the Keys Lock profiles to an existing tune. Sure thing! Scaler Detector does that even easier without all of the power features of Scaler 3 and it’s free with Scaler 3.
