I lose sound when I add an effect in the mixer

In the mixing section if I add any effect to any of the tracks I lose sound altogether. But when I take the effect out i get sound again.

I have discovered that some of my effects do work properly. For example, Articulate by NewFangled. Also Tai Chi works. But most do not work and remove the sound altogether. Very few work.

Latest version of scaler 3. Latest Studio One Pro Plus.

Have you tried using the same effects (if possible) on the tracks themselves OUTSIDE of Scaler and does the same thing happen?

Yes the effects themselves work fine.
