Please! Its 2026 and scaler doesn’t have the ability to make our own tuning or add strings to our guitars!

Us guitarists love this as a tool as its so so educational for back engineering what we’ve noodled out, I have a hexatonic pick up to translate the notes im playing into MIDI and I can see the chord im playing in Scaler 3.

Being able to: Change the tunning of each string, add strings (for 7, 8 string players), see all 24 frets AND have a pop out/ floating seperate fret board would be absolute god tier.

Please do this and I will sing from the heavens about this app to every guitarist across the globe.

Hi @Preo, welcome to the forum and thank you for the suggestions. Custom guitar tunings has been a popular requested feature an is on the roadmap for Scaler 3. No ETA for this right now will hopefully come via a future update.

7/8 string options have been suggested in the past but remain a niche request. Would be nice to have but far less seamless to integrate than custom tunings introducing UI considerations. There are also no immediate plans for a pop fretboard view, which would bring additional complexities. Is this an important feature for you?
