Greetings again. Don’t know if this has been discussed before. I am hoping that more testing and attention can be done on the iPad mini. Some feedback on the experience,
Scaler 2 as an AUV was largely unusable on the iPad mini because most, (with the exception of AUM) used a bit of screen space that caused the Scaler to get squashed because of the iPad mini’s slightly narrower screen ratio.
This is common on a lot of AUVs for the iPad mini however.
Anyway, I learned to live with it, and thankfully, AUM has this feature that allows for ‘full screen’ AUV viewing and with the new iPad OS 26 windowing features, I am able to do things like overlay my MIDI sequencing apps opened separately alongside AUM hosting Scaler and my other AUV sounds.
Prologue aside, I bought Scaler 3 largely for the improved UI. I thought the paged approach and the sliding tabs was a stroke of genius… BUT…
So the problem remains, the UI still gets squashed, or rather the whole thing just shrinks in size, which makes it totally unusable in any AUV host except AUM.
Not a deal breaker, as I said before, lots of AUVs do this.
So what am I asking for?
Well there are still some UI issues.
First and foremost, the font is a thin grey. Even in it’s intended full screen display, used during daylight, it is almost impossible to actually see. Scaler 2 did not have this problem. So please devs, slightly larger and significantly brighter fonts. This is a MUST for me.
Secondly, a few themes would be appreciated. Can we have the Carbon greyish teal back?
Thanks for your time and attention.
