I am new to this and wondering is there anyway i can add in root note to scaler 2 section c?
You can but there is no legato functionality in Scaler so there is no way to create a smooth legato passage directly in Scaler.
To create a 1 note pad - Click on the Chord button on the upper right - this takes you to chord edit-
In an empty pad slot click the + sign to add a pad -
On the keyboard above click on any key to add or subtract it to a pad - in this case D
Done or add more.

If you’re just getting started with Scaler, try the Keys Lock function for melodic parts. I’ve been using Scaler for a little while now and it still amazes me. Good luck exploring Scaler.
