I would like to request a display of the closest simplified key to use for vocal autotuning purposes.
For example, MetaTune only offers Major, Minor, Pentatonic and Harmonic choices but Scaler Detector gets very specific with esoteric scales/keys. Can you please suggest the basic key (major/minor) that will likely work best for vocal tuning purposes? This is how Auto-Key displays it which is helpful.
Hi @cereboso and welcome to the forum.
Scaler 3 / Detector matches the most likely Major / Minor keys at the top of the results list before listing modes. Does that help?
Thanks for the reply. Just want to clarify the section you’re talking about. Are you referring to the items in the “B” section to the right? My thought was that those were the chords that make up the different degrees of the key? (i, ii, iv, vi, etc)
Hmm, I’m confused. I’m referring to the matching scale list prioritising major and minor. You seem to be referring to the chord functions on the chord clips themselves?
