Bug Report: Hanging Notes (Missing Note-Off Events) in Scaler 3.2.2 (Build 96c952d)

System & Environment:

  • DAW: Cubase 15 Pro (Version 15.0.30)

  • Scaler Version: 3.2.2 (Build 96c952d)

  • Settings: DAW Sync disabled

  • Sound Source: Occurs with both internal Scaler sounds and external VST routing.

Issue Description: Hanging notes (missing note-off events) occur persistently on the Create Page, specifically within the Modulation > Neo-Riemannian section. Once the bug is triggered, it cascades and affects other areas of the plugin. The issue remains even after a complete system and program reboot.

Steps to Reproduce / Behavior:

  1. The issue was initially triggered in the Neo-Riemannian section by dragging a chord into the first column and then clicking on the chord in the row under “Relative”.

  2. Once this hanging note is triggered, the bug spreads to other sections, such as Modulation > Mediants, where it wasn’t happening initially (though it doesn’t happen on every single chord).

  3. The bug even extends to the Browse Page, specifically isolated to Section B under “Current Scale”.

  4. There was only one instance where it didn’t happen at the exact same spot in the Neo-Riemannian section; however, it triggered shortly after when clicking a different chord on that very same page.

Impact: As a classical pianist and composer, my workflow relies heavily on reliable voice leading and smooth chord transitions. Right now, I cannot work adequately with the program in this state. I kindly request that you look into this bug and provide a fix or an update as soon as possible.
