Audio to Midi Conversion

It seems to me that since the algorithms are already detecting chords from either actual chords or a melody, would it be a step too far to suggest that you allow the output of MIDI. This would be very powerful. Although there are some conversions available on the market, they are not really that good. Since Scaler 2 does a pretty accurate detection then perhaps generating MIDI would be quite accurate.

Just a thought.

Hi @Trankonia it is an interesting observation, although what you’re describing is to an extend already happening in Scaler 2. When detecting audio chords are detected. Triggering these chords produces MIDI that can be used to drive internal sounds or external MIDI instruments.

Are you saying you’d prefer this to be a realtime MIDI output, so chords are effectively triggered as they are detected?
