Is there a guide to midi routing for Scaler 3 with Ableton? When creating several tracks inside Scaler 3 (Main, Bass, Sequence for example) and then giving each it’s own Midi Channel output, the corresponding midi tracks in ableton (set to CH1/2/3 etc) are not receiving any midi at all. Monitor is…

I just posted a valid workaround that keeps scaler 3 daw-synced and openable from within ableton, so for all intents and purposes in the box. Most importantly it’s all done with free software and it’s reliable and noninvase. Waiting on the mods to approve my post. The issue at core here lies with Ab…

There is a fix for Ableton that is completely free, consistent, and provides DAW-Sync capabilities. You have to set it up, but once it’s running it’s no issue, and no fiddling on startup. You do have to install virtual midi channels but these are completely noninvasive compared to typical virtual au…

Why is there no MIDI OUT on the Standalone Version, but only MIDI IN? Or is there a setting somewhere? Can you guys help?

It’s not missing from Scaler 3. Ableton does not support Multi Channel MIDI out -. Possibly the only DAW that doesn’t. Please do post feedback over at Ableton.

[image] Scaler 3 Standalone - No midi out? It’s high on my list too. It wasn’t that straightforward and we didn’t want to mess it up. I hope from my videos you can see I am a synth lover too. I use it within DAW and use an external instrument plugin but can see Standalone users would love this. …

[image] MPhrasor: about Midi out from the standalone Ah, sorry for my comment above I never imagined that the standalone has no MIDI out; so my reasoning above is nonsensical

I am not sure if this is what you want: Install the “multi midi wrapper” and multi midi receive" “max4Live” tools. (I think they are default with 12.) You need them as well for instacomposer where you can find the links to the downloads. Then in the “multi midi wrapper” you choose scaler 3 as the …

Yes and please midi out from the stand alone like in Sundog Song Studio Sundog is a standalone composition software for Windows and macOS that connects to any DAW via MIDI. Write new chord progressions, melodies, bass lines, and arpeggios within minutes.

I would not use the Wrapper since it doesn’t allow for DAW Sync. I’ve reformatted my post above over on r/Ableton. Reddit - The heart of the internet
