the download speed for the 2.1.1 update is extremely slow (around 50k/sec). It has already timed out after several hours three times that I have tried to download it through Plugin Botique.

Same here. It’s saying it’s going to take 2 and a half hours to download on my wired connection that operates at speeds of about 55-60MB/s for me. I can normally download a 50GB game in about 15-20 minutes on my connection.
I’d suggest you hit up the Plugin Boutique support guys if you are having DL problems. I noticed it was a little slow yesterday but managed to get it eventually. Maybe the site was getting hit particularly hard for one of their special deals?

not solved for me, still slow as hell… has ultimately failed downloading 4 times now, each time took 2 hours+ to fail.
I have very very fast internet connection, the problem isn’t my end.
I will try to see if I can contact PluginBotique about it somehow.
Have reported directly to PIB, will let you know when I get a response.
