1.3/1.4 Update Suggestions

Hi there, thanks for this great plugin! It’s already so good and well thought out!

I have some suggestions that may improve the experience.

  1. An UNDO button. If that’s resource intensive, then at least an UNDO that goes back just 1 step. It’s very easy to accidentally hit the Randomize button and then literally everything you did in the program is gone.

    • The EDIT window that displays the waveform for samples A,B,C and D often suffers from a sample having too much dead space after the hit, and then it affects how you see the important part of the sample. Someone already suggested a zoom function, and that would definitely be great, but it needs to be smart. It should remember your zoom state any time you switch from viewing an other sample and back to the original. Otherwise, there will be much wasted time re-setting the zoom state each time you go back to view that particular sample.
      – But the remaining problem is that the final output waveform window still has all that dead space. So, the Start and End markers for each sample should determine the final output waveform window size. In other words, Where you set the end marker on a sample should change the total waveform length in the final output window.
      – Additionally, the Start and End markers should also include a fade-in and fade-out and perhaps the sample level so really fine tune fades can occur. If not, then at lease at the millisecond level.

At this moment, that’s all I have. I hope these are considered and I look forward to all your updates at Scaler. I currently own all 3 of your products

Hi @Vunsunta, welcome to the forum, and thanks for the kind words and support.

I agree that an Undo button would be a great addition. This is already on our list of potential features for future updates.

The idea of smarter waveform displays is an interesting suggestion and definitely something to think about. Fade-ins, fade-outs, and level adjustment are good ideas as well. I’ve added your feedback to our list.

Thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts. Cheers!
