72 yr old long time on again/off again bass player and retired IT hardware field tech. I’m into smooth jazz, atmosphere and a handful of other newer genres.

Dabbled on a few synthesizers to include a Korg Kronos. I have no real formal music training but I have a knack for tapping out keys and learning short runs.

In November 2024 I decided to try MIDI music creation. Reaper Daw and 61 key Nektar Panorama T6 MIDI keyboard. Initially I really spent too much time downloading a ton of free plugins and bought a handful of a few plugins including preset packs.

Since chords are my weakest point music wise I tried another chord generator (Mario Nieto’s Chord Generator) but it wasn’t user friendly enough for my ability to comprehend. Oddly Scaler 3 is a bit easier for me to navigate..it’s still a somewhat daunting plugin for me but It makes more sense than the last one I tried.

I’m on the mid-state Florida Gulf Coast area enjoying the hot sunshine and yard weeds…lol
