If these are not in the things you’ve already mentioned, can you please elaborate on them? I’m sure davide and crew are taking all UX problems and suggestions seriously and will strive to improve the UX in due time. The more detailed your problems and suggestions, the better, I’m sure.
Love the new version, but as you’d naturally expect from a release version, some elements of the UI/UX need work. I made a new thread about this but it didn’t appear once my account was leveled to “Basic”. In any case, this thread seems relatively active and Davide has responded here, so I might as well post my suggestions here.
I primarily use third-party chordsets, so my suggestions are based on that workflow.
- The chordsets A section on the Browse page doesn’t use the space very efficiently. Once I’ve selected the chordset I want to work with, I don’t need to see the available chordsets anymore. What I would like is a better view of the available chords in my chosen chordset rather than use the horizontally scrolling view.
Being able to toggle between the chordset selection view and a larger view of the chords in the chordset would be awesome. You could arrange them in rows of 7 so when you keybind section A, each row will use an octave on the keyboard beginning at C. - It makes no sense that if you’re in the Sketch tab, you have no access to your chordset. You can only access section B (Scale) and C (Main Track). Can you make it so you can toggle the top part of the interface between section A and section B? In that context, the horizontally scrolling view is fine.
- The chord editing resolution setting in the arrange page is set to 1 bar by default. Can we have the ability in the settings to change the default value?
I’d love to have a keyboard shortcut to delete selected chords. I don’t want to have to use my mouse to hunt down the tiny “x”.
I agree and I would like keyboard shortcuts for pretty much everything else too.
