Scaler 2.0 Update

Other DAWs have MIDI fx that can be placed before the instrument. Not just Logic, also Bitwig, Ableton, maybe more (not sure)

Especially Ableton Live would benefit, as the current workflow is setting up Scaler on a separate track and routing the MIDI to the instrument track.

Are there plans to make Scaler Control work in more DAWs?

Did i read there is now a release date? When is it?

Hi Jason, In Bitwig/Reaper and a few other DAWS you simply have to drag an instrument on the same effect chain right after Scaler for it to be controlled like a MIDI FX (see attached) I don’t believe Ableton allows for third party Midi FX at this stage.

Hey, thanks, but I know this, Bitwig is my main DAW. There are advantages to having a MIDI FX in Bitwig though. One example is bouncing or exporting audio. Bitwig treats it as an instrument so unfortunately it makes the audio render as silent.

OK that’s interesting thanks for feeding back Jason, we will discuss this.

Agree.
Bounce in place in bitwig with third party synths and scaler is a little bit weird. With the native synths One can put scaler in the pre-note-fx box and get it to work. With third party synths one has to put everything inside one of the container devices to get it to work.
Regular bounce work just fine.

Me three. Maybe missed the boat

Which is exactly what I did right after spotting this post! Thanks!

Who can tell if there is a custom scale feature available or octatonic scale. Same with triton substitutions?
