I would just like to be able to import/export chord progressions via MusicXML.
Certainly this would require considering where in Scaler an imported chord progression could/would land, and where in Scaler we could export a chord progression from.
Technically though, chord progressions are only a simple tiny little bit of MusicXML. No need to deal with the rest of it.
From the user’s POV though, this capabiity could be very helpful.
For example, all the tunes I have in Band-in-a-Box are candidates for (or have already had) their progressions to be exported in MusicXML. I definitely would much rather just drag-and-drop that stuff than retype the entire chord progression of a tune. (Times every tune/progression I might want to transfer.)
A similar situation applies in the case of many other softwares too.
