Launchpad Pro Mk3 Custom Modes

Ah, ok. Anyway, could you upload the file you created for the LP Mini? I guess the changes are probably minimal on that anyway.

Frankly, I finished by programming the buttons on my LP mini to do the Actions in Reaper and at the moment it worked, I abandoned everything else.

Greets!

Wow, I saved the info for a long time, but found time today to actually do this. To my surprise, it actually works!

I’ve tested this setup today in Scaler 2 via Logic as a MIDI FX plugin, alongside my Launchpad Pro. I installed the Custom Mode file, and imported the XML layout file, and pressed those keys…very cool!

When the XML file opened in Sclaer 2, it came up with a window where there were 8 rows of patterns. I’m not sure if it’s the window that’s supposed to be opened, because it looks different from the default Scaler window, so could use some insight on what I see.

Also, do I have the option of using one of the chord presets, or is the idea for me to create my own, then save them for reuse? Ultimately, I’d like to have some jazz chords for jazzy and Neo-soul vibes (including 9ths, 11ths, and 13ths). Not sure how to do that yet, but I know they are in my future.

Any other insights you care to share, as well, will be welcome. I am taking a music theory course this summer (part of an audio technology curriculum at my community college), and also learning slowly but surely on my 88-key controller. Until I do, using the Launchpad to quickly lay down chords will help with my overall workflow.

Thanks so much!
