Hi, I know this topic has been raised before, but are there any plans to separate the extra sounds into their own installer from the Scaler 3 installer. If I download the sounds once, i could save it’s installer in an external drive or in a partition. Downloading a nearly 1gig file each time is slow, plus the Scaler servers would benefit from not having so many user downloading a heavy file every time there is an update. Please consider this request ---

Ooh now you are selling it! Save us money I like it. I guess the Q is the valuable time taken up from our devs vs the expectation that a 1GB installer file is reasonable. I’ll discuss with the team. ---

I would like to second this again especially as we can now use our own virtual intruments. Also, I am not a software engineer but I would imagine including nearly 900mb of sounds in every update would increase the build time as well? Hoping for seperate download of program and sounds. Thanks. ---

Maybe like ReasonStudio: First time a complete installation including sound banks. Update only program. Same with a lot of other DAW. The sounds are loaded on demand from an installer inside scaler. By the way 1 gb is nowadays not so much. ---

Can I surface this again as an issue? I’ve been trying for three days to download 3.1.1. I have (just tested) over 350 Mbps to my desktop, and the Scaler 3.1.1 update is showing 29 kbps download speed and suggesting 13 hours to download. Yet again I will be giving up ---

Depends on how well the servers handle load
