Cannot open Scaler in Ableton Live 12+ since the update. Have to open it as a standalone and drag midi in. I will have to downgrade back to get a working scaler.

Hi @raybeastproductions

Sorry to hear that. I’m able to open Scaler 3.1.3 in Ableton Live 12.2.5 Suite on macOS without any crashes. If you haven’t already, please try rebooting your machine. If the issue persists, perform a clean install (instructions are at the bottom of [this page)](https://forum.scalermusic.com/t/list-of-known-issues-descriptions-solutions-timing/20938).

If you still can’t open Scaler 3.1.3 after that, please share a crash report and details about your setup so we can look into what’s going on at your end. Cheers.

Hi @raybeastproductions

Thanks for the follow-up. From what you’ve described, it looks like the crash only happens during Scaler’s plugin scan. Since Scaler works fine when the scan is skipped, this suggests the issue is likely caused by another plugin in your system rather than Scaler itself.

A good next step is to try rescanning your plugins in standalone via _Settings \> Preferences \> Rescan your plugins_. If it crashes again, check the crash log: on macOS, open Console under “Crash Reports”; on Windows, use Event Viewer under “Windows Logs \> Application.” The log should indicate which plugin is triggering the crash. If it’s not obvious, you can share the report here and we can take a look.
