# Modulation creation into a pattern

Im hoping someone can help me with this problem. I create a pattern, then I want to create a modulation, so I open the modulation page. I create the modulation chords, I have an empty second pattern created, but when I switch to this, the chord modulations disappear so I cant grab them and drag them to the new pattern section. How on earth do i do this ? How do I add the modulations to a new pattern ?

Hi @proteus

you can select chords with the lasso (maintain Mouse-down and drag over the chords) then use the Right-Click \> Add chords To \> …

From there you can select the pattern or create a new one.
