It would be nice for the Cut Tool to cut in such a way to only keep the last part ( or mid part or any other part beside the start ) of the melody/progression clip and not always reset and play from the begining. This will make possible to use melody clips from different positions and give a lot more variation in the creation process.

I agree completely, this would really amplify the power of the arrange page. It’s hard to even find a workaround for this-- I was hoping that by “breaking” (dis-attaching?) the motion clip by moving a midi note manually, (turning the midi notes red, making it no longer subject to dynamic changes) you’d be able to cut the clip without getting an automatic re-start. But no, that doesn’t work!
Does anyone have a workaround at least?

How about the Rotate Modifier in the sidebar?

Yes! I just discovered this. Sorry, I know, RTFM… What can I say, I take a hands on approach. Thank you for responding.
