I can see myself using the built in phrases just to experiment but for the most part, I will want to play them using my keyboard. For example, I already have a finished song done with a piano vst and want to add background instruments with reharmonized chords done in specific ways that fit and “decorate” the lead instrument chord progressions and I don’t want to use pre-made midi arrangements but make custom ones. Also, can we split a bar in half? For example I have a bar that goes from a Fmajor sus4 to a natural Fmajor within the same bar.

Don’t get me wrong I’m open to try out existing midi within Scaler but most of the time, I like to manually create my own so it’s really unique. How easy can this be done in S3? Most of the videos I’m finding are people just using the default stuff but not much custom midi action.

Nevermind about splitting a bar in half. I got the trial and found out about setting the bar resolution which works. Just have to learn the interface more.
