I just bought a license (October 29, 2021) for Scaler 2. I did not read the reviews or reports about it not working; before, I bought the license. After, it did not work on my DAW’s, and I researched and I saw the reports. Without going through a bunch of listings, is there a quick and workable solution? for the black screen. I have never had a vst not work until this one. Joe ---

You will find a lot of help here, but perhaps you can post your o/s and DAWs so the relevant folk can respond. ---

Welcome @jpCouleeCity here is what you can try to get rid of this black screen issue: - Reboot your computer after installing Scaler - Make sure your graphic drivers are installed / up-to-date If this doesn’t work: - Disable OpenGL in Scalersettings: - Windows: The executables are located here: - MacOS: /Users/Shared/Plugin Boutique/Scaler2/ScalerSettings.app - Windows: C:\Users\Public\Public Documents\Plugin Boutique\Scaler2\ScalerSettings.exe Go to the Help page and click “Turn OFF OpenGL”: ![image](https://canada1.discourse-cdn.com/flex012/uploads/scalermusic/original/2X/c/c2dd65f84df18aa45a1332c452f9d9880c9db0c6.jpeg) ---

You don’t say anything about your computer or OS but this issue is related to GPU. Thank you Frederic, I used your advice and I did get Scaler 2 to work in Mixcraft 8 with the scalersettings.exe file…and clicking “Turn OFF OpenGL”. thanks, Joe ---

I just wanted to add that when I launched Ableton Live 11; Scaler 2, did not show in plugins. So I ran scaler2.settings.exe while Ableton was running; and went to 'Help" and first clicked ‘reset to defaults’ and then second clicked 'turn off opengl." Then I rebooted Ableton; and the Scaler 2 plugin shows up in Ableton plugins. Hope this helps others. Joe ---

So what I am getting at is, you might have to use the scaler2.settings.exe for each DAW on your computer. Not sure. but seems logical. ---

Also make sure your Ableton vst file locations are up to date. ---

I do NOT realize how to do to save the scalersettings. The opengl off doesn’t load for me. Tha KS for your time
