Hi

I’m looking for the piano chord progression for Ave Maria in Bb Major - the one I have tried to recreate works quite poor.

Also if anyone has a performance suggestion - I need it to practice for a wedding in South of France in July, where I must accompaign to female singers on a guitar (my plan is to bring a little piano play back in order to save my sorry are, if I should screw up)

If one of you has made such an arrangement, are you willing to share?

Cheers
Peter

I leave you 2 midi files that I have here. They are not in B flat, but you can easily transpose it. The 1st has 3 voices, with arpeggios, bass and melody. I think it is the one you can best take advantage of. The other one is an orchestral version, but I’m sending it to you anyway. Luck

I don’t know Ave Maria by Bach.
However, all the Ave Maria there are (Schubert, Gounod, …) come from, it is based on Prelude No. 1 of JSBach of The Well Tempered Clavier Book 1 (which I think J.S. did not write, but Ana María Magdalena, his wife), although today it is still attributed to J.S. Bach. Either way, whoever it is is an inspiring prelude to music history.

Would you happen to have Ave Maria D839 Op.52 No. 6 just a basic arrangement with piano chords only, as the orchestral mid is slightly over the top for me, to use as practice?

Kind regards
Peter

Hello, Peter
I send you the sheet music, obtained in IMSLP (free)
I also send you a couple of links that although they are paid I have liked to practice.
I hope that with this and the file that I sent at the beginning (not the one of the complete orchestra, but the other one, reduced) you can achieve it

The image file consists of screenshots from one of these practice sites. You will notice that it responds to a ternary rhythm, and not to the original, which is 4 sixteenth notes. Either way, it corresponds to the chords

I have made this midi file with the chords. Hope this can help you

Since I had extracted the chords, I thought I’d use them in this idea
From the chords of Prelude No. 1 of the Well-Tempered Clavier Vol 1 by J. S. Bach I have made this instrumentation (only up to half of the reference work)
